About this vendor
Vendor-level selection advice by Y-API. The per-model pages linked below carry the model-specific checks; nothing here is a measured comparison.
Where this vendor fits
Gemini is the widest-modality family in this catalog — every entry lists audio and video input alongside text and images — which puts it at the front of the line for workloads that mix formats rather than staying on text.
What to watch for
Two of the four Flash entries are deprecated: Google withdrew 3.5 and 3.7 Flash on 2026-10-08 and now routes their requests to 3.6 and 3.8 Flash respectively, so the model string you send may not be what answers. A long modality list also describes the model, not what the gateway forwards, and the Pro entry carries Preview status.

Choosing within the lineup
Start on Gemini 3.8 Flash — it is the current generation and also where calls to the deprecated 3.7 Flash land. Reach for the Pro Preview entry only where Flash demonstrably falls short on reasoning-heavy work, and keep a fallback configured while the Preview label stands.
Before you choose
Which Gemini entry should a new integration start with?
Gemini 3.8 Flash, the newest Flash-tier entry. The older 3.5 and 3.7 Flash entries are deprecated and their requests are routed forward, so starting there means running a different model than the one you named.
